I've been sick for what seems like forever now. Started out with a cold I caught from Monica over a week ago. It was bad, but I managed to survive. Your standard congested head, runny nose, cough your brains out sickness.
Then I went to Milo for Easter, and apparently caught a touch of the flu from someone. I woke up this past Tuesday morning with a slightly scratchy throat. By that afternoon, I felt like the walking dead. Everyone at work kept telling me how bad I was looking.
This one has to be a version of the flu. Started out with just a soar throat, and a general ache, but quickly progressed into severe hot and cold flashes. (No, I'm not starting menopause.) I had a hard time sleeping that night, couldn't get warm or cold enough.
I ended up staying in bed most of Wednesday and Thursday, but felt better enough to manage a full day of work on Friday. By the end of Friday, I was ready to crawl back into bed.
Then I woke up this morning, feeling almost completely better! I could breathe, didn't have the headache, etc. But I couldn't hear out the left side of my head. I still can't, actually. My sinuses are so congested right now, I'm amazed my head hasn't exploded. I took some Sudafed, as it usually helps with this, BUT IT FAILED ME! It just isn't doing a damn thing.
On the up-side, this is a sign that I'm almost through the worst of it. Getting my sinuses/ears plugged up usually means I'm almost better. Or I have a sinus infection. I sure hope not, as my health insurance doesn't kick in till May 1st apparently. Sigh.
