The time has finally come. I’m attempting to switch from Google Chrome to Mozilla Firefox. For ages now, its bothered me that Chrome for Mac is still a 32 bit app. For no real reason apparently! They have 64 bit for every other system, but not Mac. Its not that HUGE a deal honestly, the biggest hassle is once in a blue moon coming across a site that uses 64 bit java. It don’t work.
But I digress. This weekend I attempted playing some YouTube using Chrome. It had NO sound. Period. Safari and Firefox were just fine, but Chrome, no matter how I rebooted it or reset things, refused to have sound. This baffled me to no end. It used to work just fine, like not a week ago. But for whatever reason, not this weekend. This pushed me to the point of giving FireFox a try.
I’ve got it all setup on my laptop and my phone. Surprisingly, the Android Firefox seems nicer than Chrome to me! I like the interface a lot better. We’ll have to see how this turns out. I’m going to try it for at least a week, and see how I like it vs. Chrome.
More to come!
